A CoralBoard Case inspired by a SERE (Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape) kit from TitanFall 2. I designed the case as the CoralBoard is used to host and run local AI and I thought a case modelled after gaming's favourite 24-foot-tall AI-powered titan (BT-7274) felt appropriate. The case is made of 3 main components; the shell, the end plate and the core. The shell is the largest and makes up the bulk of the builds volume, it has carefully placed cutouts in its design to allow for all IO to be in full use. The core is what holds the coral board, using built in threaded pillars designed to fit in the four corner holes of the CoralBoard allows the core to securely hold the board within the shell, the core has designed grooves to act as runners and is inserted into the shell easily (with the core having a grab handle for easier insertion and removal) where it can then be secured to the shell using a inbuilt nut and bolt to lock the core to the shell. The end plate is the final piece and is the left side of the shell and is screwed on with threads built into the end plate and the shell, the end plate also is embossed with the 3rd protocol, 'Protect the Pilot'. All threaded bolts needed are designed and within the file so no additional hardware is needed and the whole case can be printed in one build, even on printers with smaller build volume (as small as 200 x 200 x200). Overall, this case is one designed with care, passion and love for a franchise all about big AI robots. From start to finish the whole project took over 6 time-lapsed hours so I hope the effort is conveyed in the detail and quality of the model. Happy Printing :)
