Overview
This is a standalone remix of the Gridfinity Openprinttag holder designed by uwearzt. While the original design integrates into the Gridfinity modular ecosystem, this version is tailored for makers who prefer storing their filament spool tags inside regular drawers, tool cabinets, or directly on their workbench.
Key Modifications
Flat circular base: Offers broad, wobble-free stability on any flat surface without requiring a baseplate.
Hollow core column: Drastically cuts down print time and filament usage while retaining full structural rigidity.
Original fit retained: The top chamfer and cap fit remain fully compatible with standard OpenPrintTag rings and lids.
Print Settings
Orientation: Print upright on the flat circular base (no supports needed).
Layer height: 0.20 mm standard.
Perimeters / Walls: 2–3 walls.
Infill: 10%–15% (Gyroid or Grid recommended).
Files included:
.3mfprint-ready file and native.FCStd(FreeCAD) parametric design file if you wish to tweak dimensions.
