Disclaimer! You print and use this at your own risk, I will not be responsible for any damage that may be caused by this design. With that being said, the RipClip did't cause any damage whatsoever during testing, it doesn't seem to stress the launcher more than slip grips or using "pull through" techniques in general.
Hello Bladers, me and my team Busa Bladers are happy to release the RipClip, the latest in Beyblade X string launcher technology!
Experience all the advantages of the string launcher plus the grip and the control of the winder launcher!
The RipClip attaches to the string launcher handle like a slip grip, but it releases automatically at the end of the travel of the string, stays in your hand while the string retracts. You have to pull the string through and past the end of the string for this to work, like you would do with a slip grip.
Our tests with the RipClip show stronger than average, consistent launches. Since it releases similarly to a ripcord launcher, control is improved over slip grips or regular string launcher. I think the RipClip could become a must have competitive accessory.
I'm releasing the RipClip in 2 forms: Ring grip and T-handle grip, both very beefy and optimized for comfort and performance. I may add other grips in the future, write it in the comments if you have any ideas.
The spring and the lip that hold and release the handle have gone through many prototypes to find the perfect tension and shape. They have to hold the bey during the initial acceleration and release cleanly at the end of travel. With this iteration I didn't have any bey slip out during launch (tested with Bullet Griffon and other heavy combos) while also having a safe release.
I didn't damage any launcher during testing, even with unoptimized prototypes.
I used PLA and PLA+ for all my tests, performance may vary when using other materials. Print with at least 3 walls so that the spring part will print solid.
Performance may vary depending on air temperature and humidity.
Legality of the RipClip in tournaments is of course unknown. Always ask the organizer and judge if they'll allow it.
Printing instructions: you have to print this on the side (default orientation) with supports as shown in the picture, otherwise the spring won't work correctly or will be too fragile. PLA+ recommended. 3 walls minimum, experiment with more for potential different performance. Infill doesn't seem to make a difference in performance.
Please download, try and enjoy the RipClip!
This is just the first release and it will probably need some tweaks and revisions, let me know what tou think.
