I made this after I tried to add some earbuds to my frame and getting upset with the difficulty of managing cables.
Hardware required: 16 4x2mm neodymium magnets and some CA glue (loctite, dollar store super glue)
Print instructions: Print with the part standing up. I used ASA-CF with 0.1mm layer height and fuzzy skin on the outer storage shell for texture. Add CA glue to magnet recesses, and insert magnet. I recommend using reverse polarity on the bottom magnets so that it's obvious when it's upside down.
To stick with the theme of the frame, the rear is attached with magnets, for ease of removal. I haven't had any issues with it falling off in my experience.
I keep my Valve cleaning cloth and my headphones in the storage.
It features two top and bottom cable holes, as well as one on the left and right, plus a matching USB-C indent.
I would not recommend putting more than 200-300g of weight in the storage.
The total thickness of the storage is approx 12mm deep.
I created this from the open-source CAD files Valve released for the Frame.
The headset can still be worn without the magnetic storage, since the rear is 95% the same, just with magnets and the guides visible
