Canon A-1 Battery Door – Fine Leather Texture
Replacement battery door for the Canon A-1 analog film camera, featuring a fine leather-like surface texture.
The textured finish is designed to match the classic appearance of the original camera body as closely as possible. The leather texture was generated using Bumpmesh by CNC Kitchen.
3D Printing Settings
The model was printed with the following settings:
Material: ASA
Nozzle diameter: 0.25 mm
Nozzle temperature: 270 °C (intentionally increased to improve layer adhesion)
Layer height: 0.05 mm
Supports: Tree supports
The very fine layer height and small nozzle diameter help reproduce the detailed leather texture with high precision.
Notes
ASA was chosen for its temperature resistance and durability.
The elevated printing temperature was used to achieve better layer adhesion.
Tree supports were used for the required overhangs.
