MN82S gooseneck trailer

I wasn't happy with the original trailer mount with a conventional drawbar. It wasn't as maneuverable as I wanted, was easy to jackknife, and my kid managed to break it pretty quickly. So why not try something cool and mount the trailer using a gooseneck hitch instead? It's much easier to reverse and maneuver in tight spaces.

First, the drawbar: I redesigned the original drawbar to make it sturdier and split it into two parts. One part attaches to the trailer, while the second can be fitted with either a conventional hitch or a gooseneck mount. This also allows both parts to be printed in orientations that provide better strength. The two parts are connected using two M3x30 screws.

Second, the gooseneck mount: How do you attach it to the truck bed? The MN82S has a rectangular hole right above the rear axle. We can use this to our advantage by inserting a small piece with a 3 mm hole from underneath the bed. The gooseneck mount can then be secured with an M3 screw (M3x40 or longer).

The model is scaled for my MN82S with 73 mm tires and a body lift. However, I've also included STEP files so you can easily adjust the mounting height to suit your own setup.
