Screw-Driven Pulling Gripper
A compact, fully 3D-printable mechanical gripper operated by turning a screw at the bottom. The screw drives the gripping mechanism, allowing the claws to open and close.
Designed for grabbing soft materials, hooking onto edges or protrusions, and pulling objects. You can also attach a rope or cord through the hole in the bottom screw to pull objects from a distance.
Features
Versatile grip – grab soft objects, hook onto edges, or pull objects using the claws.
Cord attachment – a hole in the bottom screw allows you to attach a rope or cord.
Scalable design – scale the model to create a larger or smaller gripper.
Two configurations – choose between 2-claw and 3-claw versions.
Simple assembly – no glue, screws, nuts, or other additional hardware required.
Easy locking – at the original scale, use short pieces of filament as pivot pins. For scaled-up versions, a separate
pin.stlfile is provided.Support-free printing – all parts are designed to print without supports.
Any filament – PLA, PETG, ABS, or other commonly used 3D printing materials.
Printing
No supports required.
Recommended layer height: 0.2 mm.
Any standard filament can be used.
The model can be scaled to suit your needs.
Important: If you scale up the model, use the dedicated pin.stl file instead of filament pieces. Scale the pins by the same factor as the rest of the model.
Assembly
A PDF assembly guide is included with the files. It provides step-by-step instructions for putting the gripper together.
No glue or additional hardware is needed.
Print it, assemble it, grip it, and pull!
