Simplified model of a 4U CubeSat (nanosatellite of 20x20 cm in size). It includes two deployable solar arrays, solar cells on four of its faces, and a small antenna. On its front face, it displays a camera and a star tracker, two features inspired in the MarCO (Mars Cube One) CubeSat.
The model is divided into multiple parts to facilitate printing. The inner "box" is printed in two parts and assembled using the small latches on its inner edges. This part is then placed inside the chassis bottom part, to then glue the top chassis part and complete the backbone CubeSat.
The solar arrays and antenna are printed separately and easily assembled to the chassis on their respective hinges. Must print 24 solar cells, then place (and glue, if needed) on each face of the interior box.
Disclaimer: Though some features of this model are based on the MarCO CubeSat, this is not an accurate model of a real, functional nanosatellite. It was done entirely for entertainment purposes of the designer.
