Purpose
I wanted to create an easy-to-use, compact and portable third hand or mini vise to use when soldering small wires on my electronics and also when working in my car.
This can sit on a table lying flat or stand vertically - what ever is more convenient. It is also lightweight and can fit into small spaces which is handy when working on the electronics in your car dashboard for example.
Printing
Filament
I have tested with PLA and PETG and both are ok.
Print Settings
Standard or Speed settings worked fine. 0.2mm layer height with 0.4mm nozzle 15% infill.
No Supports Required
You should keep Arachne wall or perimeter generator setting on to ensure the layers in the springs print consistently as they are very thin.
Print Time
PLA took around 42 minutes while PETG was about 46 minutes.
