If you rotate too fast, the beads remain on the wheels; too slow and you miss a lot of the action, so you have to play with it to determine the best rotational speed to get the cool affect.
I've updated the STLs for the bushings to fit the spindle better.
Also, I used superglue to bond the bushings in place, but the nut allows for easy removal.
I haven't tried threading it using the more inner series of slots or holes. So, if you do, let me know how it works out for you.
You'll need:
1 - spindle
2 - wheels
2 - nuts
2 - bushings - inboard
2 - bushings - outboard
50 beads either purchased at a hobby shop or printed.

Notes:
Only the shaft needs to be 100% because the threaded ends. On my first attempt, I used 20% infill and when I tightened the nuts on the end, the threaded section was torn off the shaft.
Assembly
See the picture.rnrnThis uses about 24 feet of fishing line to lace the dakine. I found that the beads slide best along the fishing line if the angle from top hole is 90 degrees or more off from the bottom hole. If you have too much of an angle, the beads will collide and stop the free flow.rnrnI'll attach a video of what this looks like when I finish printing my 2nd dakine.
My first design used holes only. This was a pain to thread about 24 feet of fishing line though the wheels. I changed the design to use slots instead to make it easier to thread or change the threading in the future.rnrnThere are 3 concentric theading patterns that can be used. I haven't tried threading the most inner circle yet, but I may in the future.rnrnI
