This circular base is designed to support various rotating models. With four mounting holes, this base can be fastened down to a surface to prevent the base and its associated model from tipping over. The base is designed to accept a 5/16" wooden dowel equipped with two 8x12x3.5mm precision ball bearings. The bearings are originally purposed for RC vehicles can be purchased from many hobby stores or from online websites.

Notes:
Center shaft mount accepts a 5/16" wooden dowel held in place by two 8x12x3.5mm precision ball bearings. Lower bearing sits on an internal lip and upper bearing held on shaft by any convenient means of fastening to prevent bearing from sliding down shaft. Options are a strip of electrical tape wrapped around shaft, small nail or stud fastened to the shaft, or glue to name a few.
