This is an adaptor for the Gira E2 shallow mounting boxes, to mount regular devices on normal wall level.
The shallow mount boxes (Gira 2896 00) allow devices to be installed lower than the actual wall level. Together with the special covers, this creates a very sleek, clean look.
I installed these during a bedroom remodel but needed to mount my old MDT glass switches temporarily. These can only be mounted flush to the wall.
This small adaptor bridges the setback and allows normal mounting of the devices.
