This is a fully functional roll cage for the 3DSets Bambo4x4 Model 9 & 10, replacing the original roll bar.

The real stuff
For my Bamboo4x4 I wanted a fully functional roll cage just like the 1:1. This is it.
The cage fits the Bamboo4x4 Model 9 & 10:
Printing and assembly
All parts are designed with a flat face so they can be printed lying flat on the printing surface.
The cage is assembled using M2x10 screws.
In the rear the cage mounts to the mount points of the original roll bar with four M3x10 screws. In the front two M3x16 screws are needed.
Restrictions
If you want to use the floor mats, you will need to cut or drill them at the mounting point of the cage.
It is still possible to use the original hardtop, but you will need to cut out a small section on the left and right inside arch of the roof where it hits the cage. You'll figure it out …
The rear seats can no longer be mounted.
Dirty Secrets
The rectangular end of the center downward tube is not exactly square, since it hs a slight angle in regard to the flat part of the tube. This was necessary so the tube can be laid flat on the printing surface for easier printing.
Future plans
I have plans for mount points for a fire extinguisher, fuel cans and sand boards. I also want to have a trunk brace with a spare tire carrier.
Mount points for racing safety belts would be great, too, but I need to draw the racing seats first.
