It fits over the original protrusion on X-motor-cage. It makes the bumper for X-endstop switch bigger in X and Z to reach the lever of the switch where it stops when the part cooling fan duct hits the motor.
It holds itself in place well enough but a small piece of double sided tape could make sure it does not fall off.
