Raised to allow charging with a continuous loop strap. When I used the charger loose it would occasionally stick to the steel strap instead, short circuiting itself. This design stops that. The charger simply press-fits into the opening.
This was the first time I've used OpenSCAD and FreeCAD in the same design, but it worked well, using the best features of both tools!
