Description:
Casing cushion inspired by the Bergeon gel style cushions. This one is way cheaper and does the job surprisingly well.
Printing:
I printed the base and clamp rings in PETg and the cushion in Sainsmart 92A TPU.
I recommend printing the cushion upside down with the flat part touching the build plate, and the following settings:
- Infill percentage: 10%.
- Infill pattern: Cross (Cura).
- Top layers: 3.
- Bottom layers: 1 or 2 (I used 1, but you may need 2 depending on how you have your first layer configured.
Once you have the part printed, simply align the holes and use M2 screws to snug everything together. You can use nuts if you need to but threading the screws through the clamp rings was enough for me.
