When replacing batteries in a SIAC timing chip, as used in orienteering and MTB events, the tip sometimes needs to be replaced. This model as been printed on a Prusa MKIII in PETG Clear on the “Detail” setting and also on a Creality LD-002R Resin printer using SIRAYA Blue Clear tough resin. The PETG tips come out well and are tough and waterproof. Best printed tip down on a raft. File the tip afterwards to remove the leftovers of the raft. Printing tip down like this gives the best clean edge for the join to the chip case. Print using a detail setting e.g 0.1 layer height.
