I was sick of the red rotary knob on my g29, so I modeled and printed a replacement black colored one for a sleeker look.
CAD model and 3mf both included.
Install: Teardown wheel until you get to the PCB with the buttons, use tweezers and push out the black middle button from the white cage and red knob. Unscrew the 3 screws, take off the knob.
Put in new printed knob with screws, gently push in new black middle button. Ensure free click and rotation and reassemble wheel.
May add pictures of the install if I open the wheel again. Otherwise I can help you.
Print: even at .25 it looks decent. Ironing recommended for the top ridges, may need to sand them for smoother finish.
only supports needed is the middle circle, you can get away with painting supports only around the hole and let the rest bridge, otherwise, full supports with the **side walls excluded** makes them not touch and remove easy.
Known issue: the black button in the middle may come forward a bit too much if the wheel is upside down, I could fix it but am very tired of working on this and have spent about 10 prints trying to perfect most tolerances to get something functional.
(It is a trivial issue you will likely never notice)
