I wanted a wall mount for my Ultrasaber lightsabers. These are rather heavy combat style sabers so I wanted something that would hold them securely to the wall while still being able to easily remove them for play.
Designed in OpenSCAD (included) so you can modify to your heart's content.
Thanks to whoever thought up the teardrop design. I saw it somewhere long ago and have used it since.
Print instructions
These should load correctly for printing with the tip of the teardrop pointing up. The teardrop holes allow printing without support but you should turn on bridging.
I printed mine in ABS with bridging enabled at 25% infill with an extra perimeter or two.
The screw holes allow for the use of self drilling drywall anchors although they are a snug fit. I only used a single drywall anchor in the base and a bare screw for the other hole to keep the base from rotating. The ring portion uses a single drywall anchor as rotating won't matter.
