here i will be uploading various models of ring gears for (custom) lego planetary gearboxes…
note: the files are optimized for simple FDM 3d printing with a standard 0.4mm nozzle
currently uploaded:
-24, 36 & 40 teeth ring gears
-mount for planetary gears for the 36 & 40 teeth ring gear
(with and without 40 teeth on them, important! these mounts can create mounting and space issues)
-txt file WITH ALL THE POSSIBLE COMBINATIONS
also: (depending on your printers accuracy) you might want to use 2 planet gears instead of 3, to many planet gears might create to much friction in the system (where possible, this is mainly an issue with the 24 teeth ring gear)
designed in freecad, i used cura for slicing
