If you have the Prusa MMU upgrade you should be able to use it on this model. (I think, I never actually used it)

If you don’t (just like me) you can still print this model, it just takes a bit more work. (The idea is that we split the parts into individual G-codes by colour and then print them all one by one on top of each other with different filaments)

What you need to do is line up all the stls in your slicer or just load the 3mf file where I already lined them up. (Make sure the hedgehog is on the bottom side)

Afterwards you need to export individual parts by colour as G-codes (You need a separate G-code for every section you want to print with different colour). You can simply do this in PrusaSlicer by clicking the eye icon next to the loaded models on the right.  When you toggle it and the eye is crossed the model won’t be in the exported G-code. Simply toggle it for every part you don’t want in the G-code, export the G-code and then do it again for the next group of parts until you exported all parts. One G-code can include multiple parts but they will be the same colour. (You can also just use the G-codes I included)

Also make sure you turn of skirt or it will get in the way (it should be already turned off in the 3mf).

Now you print the G-codes one by one and use the filament of your choosing for each one. Make sure you print the coaster itself last. Except that the order doesn’t matter that much (I printed 1. Eye 2. Boddy with feet 3. Spikes 4. Rim 5. Coaster).  Do not remove them from the printbed after they are done. Just print the next one. Since all the parts except the coaster are only one layer thick they shouldn’t get in the way of the next G-code if you lined them up properly. The coaster should print around all the parts and melt them together into itself. After you print all the parts you can remove the finished print from the printbed and you are done.

Be careful when choosing filaments, because some filaments can be pretty transparent in thin layers. Using a light colour for the coaster helps the filament pop out a bit more even if it is a bit transparent. But feel free to experiment with the colours.

It may seem a bit complicated but it’s not that difficult once you get into it.

 Good luck printing :)

Filaments I used:

Eye - Fillamentum PLA Extrafill Traffic Black

Body - Fillamentum PLA Extrafill Mukha

Spikes - Fillamentum PLA Extrafill Signal Brown

Rim - Fillamentum PLA Extrafill Vertigo Grey

Coaster - Fillamentum PLA Extrafill Turkey Egg
