Ultraviolet light has been widely used for disinfection at health care / medical sector. Some studies*** believe UV-C light can be used as one way to fight against COVID-19 virus.
I've ordered couple UV-C light bulbs (PHILIPS TUV PL-L 24W/4P) online, but I don't have any light housing for this. So I decided to design a light myself and hang this in one of my toilets to make it a temporary 'disinfection room'.
As UV-C is harmful to our skin, I'd like to able to control the switch without physical attendance. So this project utilised a ESP-8266 based IoT switch
Also, the 2G11 Connector Housing was made due to this.
Reflectors were made out of plastic hollow board, I applied a sheet of aluminium foil on top with some double layer tapes.
ps. Fusion 360 exports the design as a bundle file (igs, iges) which isn't supported here, I've attached STEP version instead.
