I used prusa slicer to stretch out the clamping section. This remix version fits a 38mm thick desk.
I also put some dabs of hotglue in the divets of on the clamp end. The original designer put dot feet there, but a dab of hot glue works just as well.
Another thing to be aware of: In the .3mf file the model is split into 3 parts. You could tinker with the scaling on the clamping section and customize the fit using prusa slicer.
