Well, this is an extruder part of a working progress mod, in particular on SP5 (two trees). I had some strange artifacts related to the extrusion, even with good hotend , like dragon, mellow crazy etc. After some investigation, the Hevort content regarding the dual drive system from bondtech came out. So i did some other experiments. I optimized the BMG dual drive design to fit directly with a tube(no pneumatic needed), that you need to cut following the sput form for a nice filament path. In this way you can force the filament into the ptfe directly after the drive. After that i used the 623zz from the titan lever, and after some tests, without the dual drive some artifacts totally vanished. The 623zz fits perfectly in the center of the filament path, you need just to assembly properly the primary drive in the shaft, to respect the path correctly.
It works only for direct drive, and only with direct drive that uses a bit of ptfe tube (so it won't work if you need to put the v6 directly into the extruder).
You can use the bolt from the titan lever, or the shaft from bmg for the 623zz bearing.
It is an experimental try, i will publish some test results soon, in the meantime if someone wanna add some try, it would be great.
For now i can say that, some ptfe tube between the extruder and hotend, reduces the artifacts related to the dual drive misalignment and tolerances. Replacing the dual drive with the titan bearing, using the same bmg design (lot better lever then the titan one), compensate better the tollerance errors on the drive and can visibly reduce some artifacts.
