Bobble Walker

A quadrupedal bobblehead based on the AT-AT from Star Wars. 

Build Materials with Normal Legs (Recommended)

Note: PLA of all the same toughness can be used.

Build Materials with Extended Legs (Advanced)

Note: the body portions must be extra light, and the springs, adapters, and feet must be extra strong in order to prevent the entire walker from falling over. Gluing the joints is recommended.

Assembly (Normal Legs)

1. Insert the thicker sides of 4 springs into the holes on the bottom of the main body.
   Optional: Add glue.
2. Insert the thicker sides of 3 springs into holes in the head.
   Optional: Add glue.
3. Push the 3 springs on the head into the main body.
   Optional: Add glue.
4. Push 4 feet onto the 4 springs on the bottom of the main body.
   Recommended: Add glue.

Assembly (Extended Legs)

1. Follow steps 1-3 for the normal legs assembly.
2. Insert the thinner sides of 4 springs into the feet.
   Recommended: Add glue.
3. Insert the 4 springs attached to the legs into the smaller holes of 4 adapters.
   Recommended: Add glue.
4. Insert the 4 springs attached to the body into the larger holes of the 4 adapters.
   Recommended: Add glue and hold each leg in place until it dries.

Print Settings

For the main body and head, I recommend using the settings included in the .3mf files for faster print times. However, feel free to decrease the layer height if you want more details.

 Calibration will be necessary if one decides to make the extended legs version.
