Measuring the growth rate of a new plant is exciting and essential to monitor your plant's health. This simple yet helpful ruler is here to do all sorts of things from measuring the growth of small plants, knowing when to mow your lawn, marking plant types, or even use as a standard ruler. Feel free to add to the design and maybe make a longer version.
I printed with PLA, 20% infill.
To measure the growth rate of a small plant:
- Measure from the base of the plant to its highest point. If the plant is in a pot, start the measurement from within the pot.
- Write down the height of the plant and repeat 2-3 days later
- Subtract the first measurement from the second measurement and divide by the days between measurements.
- Done! The result should be the growth per day.
