It looks like a cylinder, but one end flares out slightly. The straight end fits inside a 4inch dust collector flex hose. The end that flares out fit over a 4inch dust port on a tools (bandsaw, tablesaw, etc.). This way I can quickly move my single hose from machine to machine.
