This was designed for a quick gag video, I expected them to melt or explode right away but I've had them on my plane for months and had about 100 flights.
They produce a very loud sound and pretty accurately reproduce the sound of a ju87 stuka divebomber, especially if you slow down a recording of them.
This design is not made to be removed so be sure you want them before installing
Sanding and trimming is likely necessary to make the printed parts have a tight clearance but without rubbing.
Mount the stator backplate between the motor screws and the aluminum X peice.
Slide the rotor over the outrunner motor, with the flange side in the rear. until its about flush with the outlet holes. glue to the outrunner motor. I used thin CA glue to wick into the tight fit.
The stator ring is also glued to the stator with CA
A tiny amount of rubbing is okay and will fix itself it you can't sand it. a spray of Wd-40 can smooth out any small amount of rubbing.
Once you or your neighbors get annoyed with the sound you can always opt to make your plane quiet again by covering the outlet holes with tape.
The best way to enjoy these is to close the throttle to idle and dive straight down to spin up the sirens and make the classic divebomber sound. Then drop one of my whistling bombs from the cargo bay.
