My biggest problem with the ender 3 is the size of the fan shroud and how much it covers the nozzle. Even if you have your printer in a well lit area, it's difficult for light to get to the nozzle when you are printing your first few layers. My solution for a long time was to hold my phone flashlight level with the bed so I could see and make sure my first layers were going down well.
One of my biggest pet peeves with all the light bar designs I could find put the light at the top of the machine shining down, which means all that light gets blocked by the shroud and makes for greater contrast between lit and unlit areas, making it even harder to see, or they put the light on the fan shroud itself which generally requires some kind of modding or a new shroud entirely.
This light bar allows you to point your light directly where you need it and can be quickly and easily removed and put on another printer. The design is still very early, and there are planned upgrades for v2, but it's a good starting point I think.
