What's new in V2:

  • Weight reduction
  • Cab be installed without extra hardwares and tools
  • Exterior surfaces of the controller are mostly exposed to prevent overheating

Versions:

  • There are two versions, V2A and V2B.
  • V2A (the blue one in the photos):
    • Two piece design, the two pieces clips together to hold the controller in place
    • Recommended to print with 100% infill, without suport
    • Includes zip-tie tie down point for cable strain relief
    • Ambidextrous, you can choose which side the cable comes out
    • Assembly:
  • V2B (the orange one in the photos):
    • One piece design, it utilize the flexibility of the print to hold the controller in place
    • Recommended to print with 100% infill, with suport
    • Includes zip-tie tie down point for cable strain relief
    • Ambidextrous, you can choose which side the cable comes out
    • Assembly:
  • Differences between V2A and V2B:
    • Both function similarily, I've printed them in PLA and PETG, and they all function as intended, but your milage might vary.
    • V2A is slightly weaker than V2B, but it can be printed without support, and it's easier to install.
    • V2B is more robust, but it has to be printed with support, and it requires a bit more force and dexterity to install.

Mounting:

  • The mount can be mounted to any GoPro mounts that have three prongs.
  • If you wish to wear the Leap Motion controller on your neck, you can check out the GoPro neck mounts I published:
  • If you wish to mount the Leap Motion controller on a mic arm, you can check out the GoPro mic arm mount I published:

Notes:

  • .STL and SketchUp files for both versions are included, feel free to modify them to suit your needs.
