In the pursuit of an intuitive smart home, I found that I needed to mount two Phillips hue smart switches to a wall to control a few smart lights. Instead of using the bulky stock mounts, I designed a part to mount two hue remotes with some colour accents too!
NOTE: Designed to fit the 1st generation dimmer switches 2nd gen ones are in the works!
Instructions
- Prepare all the parts
- 1x base
- 2x accent
- 4x magnets (15x3mm magnets, what is used in the stock holder)
- Insert the accent parts into the base. You may need to lightly file the accents, and use a small amount of superglue.
- Insert the 4 magnets. You can remove these from the stock holders with a little heat from a heat gun and a screwdriver. Press these into the printed part. Superglue may help but also may not be necessary.
