Description
Introducing a 3D-printable, drop-in cylinder for the Adventure Force/Dart Zone Deuce Pro revolver pistol that completely fixes rotation issues! This design was created with care, in collaboration with two excellent Nerf makers (see Credits section). It includes tons of quality-of-life features to improve the Deuce experience!
Features
- Zero cylinder skipping, never worry about over-rotations again!!
- Prints quickly with low filament use (<20g per cylinder!)
- Super rigid, high-strength design
- Tightly holds both new and used darts, but doesn't interfere with the pusher!
- Load darts in from the side for quick top-offs
- Check blaster capacity on the fly using the open design
- Easily remove and replace cylinders
- Completely drop-in, no modifications required
- Two versions available, normal and Sloped, which has a taper at the top for easier cylinder reloading and less material use
Printing
Print from the star at the bottom with a Brim, 2-3 walls, and any infill. Lower temperature is recommended due to the large overhang and frequent retractions. Make sure your printer is tuned to minimize blobs/stringing.
This model works much better with the newer slicing engine (Arachne) present in the latest versions of Cura and PrusaSlicer!
Credits
Though the geometry is custom-modeled and tuned, this is not a 100% original design. The Shrub Cylinder takes inspiration from beta files generously provided by users Steampuke and Meaker in the Nerf community. In particular, the ingenious rotation fix was first discovered by Steampuke and deserves proper credit! Find more of Steampuke's designs on Instagram or Reddit, and Meaker's designs on Etsy!
License
Steampuke is monetizing their own Deuce cylinder, therefore my design is completely non-commercial. You cannot sell these, but feel free to make as many as you want for yourself and your friends!
Remixes, however, are allowed and heavily encouraged!! To that end, both the STEP and Fusion360 files are included. Enjoy :D
