My tailgate bumper on my 2019 F150 kept falling out. I bought another one but the same thing happened so I printed a new pin that is a little longer and holds the bumper in place. This piece is pretty small and the outside piece should probably be printed in a flexible material like TPU (Thanks Douglas Noble for the great suggestion from the comments).
Update: I've had this same pin installed for about 3 years now and it has been working great. Hasn't fallen out once, it just does it's job.
Update: It's now July of 2025 and this part, originally printed in PLA (Both Pieces) is still holding strong, though I'm sure it has warped some having to endure summer heat in the desert.
