A general Tile Holder/frame/protection. The angle in which the tile rests is adjustable to 5 different angles. The front has ornate decoration, meant to follow the curves of the original paint. To match the natural appearance of the often handcrafted painting, the front doesn't feature a 4-sided symmetric pattern, but has a unique curve all the way through.
It's designed for tiles of rougly 150x150x6mm, but there's room to have some deviations from this, thanks to the cushioning, which is shown in the 4th photo. The cushioning has two purposes: it makes the design suitable for many tiles, since most aren't exactly cut to size, and it tries to prevent fatal falls by protecting the tile, giving it room to absorb the energy. I haven't tried it out, so I still suggest to prevent a fall in general ;), but rest assured it's at least safer in this case.
I used the foam of the envelope the tile came in for cushioning, but cardboard would do the trick too. Just use something soft enough to keep the tile in place and to absorb much of the energy in case of the tile falling.
For the rod I used a 6mm diameter metal piece, 160 cm long, but you can print it out as well, the .stl is included for it.
The caps are optional, but they finish it nicely.
I suggest to use .3mm printing, as it'll suffice.
Also, you can try to safe on printing time by setting the amount of bottom/top layers to zero, so you get to see the infill of the model. I used zigzag as infill patern, but most will do well here. You can see the effect this has on photo 5. The strength of the part holds true.
