This is a salt shaker made by remixing the Thingiverse "Moai - High Quality Mesh" (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3179781).
Two versions, just cosmetically different: "carved", a rougher carved or chiseled look and "smooth". Carved is a slightly faster print (~15 min).
Print instructions:
I use a 0.15mm layer height but it is important to make the following adjustments to both objects (to create threads you don't have to file):
For the first 7mm, use a layer height of 0.1mm (slicer Advanced or Expert mode): Add a "Height range Modifier" (right click on model or name), then in the Height ranges box, use start 0, stop 7, layer height 0.1 (see screen shot)
Clean up:
The plug should just screw in. If it doesn't or you didn't use 0.1mm layer height, take a triangular file and run it along the thread.
It will feel rough/sticky for several cycles before the high spots wear in and it feels smooth.
The holes in the head will have boogers in them, in addition to very visible layer lines (you could try to remove these with the slicer "Variable layer height" option). They were drawn as a number 54 drill (0.055", 1.40mm).
If you don't have the following tools, poke the holes with a mechanical pencil.
What I do is:
-File top of the head with a fine file to knock down the ridges.
-Sand the forehead (maroon Scotch-Brite pad, 100 & 150 grit sandpaper):
Put the pad on a flat surface and the sand paper on top, then sand the forehead (the pad conforms to the head). Finish with the pad.
A sanding sponge also works well.
-Drill the holes at a slow speed.
-Take a small counter sink and lightly refine the chamfers (by hand).
