A vasemode decoration for the CNY celebrations! Similar to my last christmas decoration, it is slightly see-through. Managed to get a 45° wall working, may integrate into a different design in the future. Not parametric this time, but the general modelling process is roughly the same as my previous christmas model.
The clip is the same as the last model, you can go there for the parametric version. Like the last model, insert the clip between 4 strands( 2 from each hemisphere). I had to change the gap the parameters though. It is now slightly shorter, and the gap is 6* the thickness of each stack. Somehow the first stack at the bottom is shorter than expected. My advice on inserting the clips is to pre-insert all the clips for one hemisphere. The first clip will be abit tough, but once you get one clip in the two hemispheres will stay roughly in place. You can then insert a small stick from the outside to press down on the strand of filament so that you can press the clip into the hemisphere
Probably would look better with a gold accent for the top. Consider printing a single wall ring in that colour to put on the top.
