I modified how my HP Plotter T650 feeds paper into the plotter.  I find that buying larger bulk paper costs a lot less.  In order to do so, I bought a couple closet pole angle irons and a hollow metal pipe suspended between the two.  Both were purchased from home depot and are of standard size, the pipe being approximately 1.25 inches in diameter.  The problem is that this pipe is larger than the hole provided on the end caps that come with the rolls of paper and even so, the weight of the paper roll creates too much drag for the plotter to print without minor errors.  My new 3d printed end caps resolves this by proving incorporated bearings that allow the coefficient of friction to be reduced the thus providing a seemless transition between the paper roll to the plotter.  The SLA printed bearings were compared to filament bearings of the same model, and seems to be doing surprisingly better than the aforementioned material.  I might come up with a ratcheting version in the future and I might clean up the 3d scanned in housing that this one has.
