These are the files used for my Geodesic Dome ISRU project. This workshop was led by Tom Sachs and the MIT Architecture department.

I named my dome “Tessellation” after the 3 dimensional tessellation that occurs in a geodesic dome constructed out of triangular panels.
My project is focused on the importance of computer systems and digital fabrication as a form of resource utilization in the context of outer space survivability. I believe that treating resources as raw matter that can be recycled and transformed is key to resource management in an environment where new material is not available and delivery of new parts is not feasible.
This dome is made of two materials: a polyvinyl binder polymer and a recycled bioplastic. These materials are both ideal for work and rework, and the shelter constructed from this raw material can be reclaimed and turned into boots, a mechanical latch, or anything else that is needed to complete your mission.
