[Update]
Some of you who downloaded this engineering marvel may have experienced the problem that the pins are aligned in not the best way having to rely only on the weak interlayer forces. I noticed that when two quiet klicks occured during use 🤨. So there you go with a new version: Also different style but has a dovetail (oh yeah!) connection. Pretty impressive that you can use a dovetail that small so reliably. Go ahead and give that one a try. SImply print two identical ones and don't care about tolerances. They will fit. Maybe mostly. Definitely maybe, independent from your printer!
[ORIGINAL]
Stop hunting for the lost/misplaced/stolen/borrowed keys forever connected with a cable tie - a combination as practical as ugly. You got a 3D printer! Go use it! You don't have to ask that colleague from the electrical department - again - for one of those keys that are practically lost the moment you get them.
This model combines the two most common keys (at least for me):
- Double bit key for (Rittal) Electrical enclosures
- 6 mm square drive used for machine covers/enclosures
State of the art cubic design - ideal for 3D printing!
Split in half so you don't need any supports (Poka Yoke included, even Jenny from the marketing department could assemble it)!
Print Instructions:
Just print the Model twice, pin facing up, without supports. All Angles are 45°, no roundings, no problems.
Tolerance information: The bore is 0,15 mm lager in diameter than the pin. Printing in 0,2 mm layer height may result in a slightly more snug fit than 0,1 mm.
→ Great printer and settings? Try 0,2 mm!
→ “Not so sure about that” 0,1 mm layer height is the right one for you
