A small but handy mallet only takes 26 g of material to print.
As 3d printed product is weakest at the layer adhesion, I strongly suggest you to print it horizontally such that the stem would not break easily. It will need support from the build plate but it is easy to remove.
I printed it with PLA+, 100% infill.
You may want to make a bigger handle but I prefer a narrow stem so that I can put it in the slot of my tool rack.
Incidentally, I find it quite useful as a massage tool :P
