Convert a cheap aliexpress 8inch drum to a Snare with Mount

Aktualizacja u źródła: 20 lut 2023

Informacje o modelu

I wanted a cheap snare drum to attach to a kick pedal so I altered this one

I couldnt find a decent strainer that would fit the size so I made a couple of snare butts to tie a snare wire to.

You'll need

1 drum snare (modified for 8 inch drum - can be easily desoldered, trimmed and soldered again) https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32546627109.html

Snare tape/chord

M8 nut

2 M6 Panhead bolts

2 M6 nylon nuts

8 M5 20mm bolts and 4 M5 nylon nuts (or nuts and spring washers) and 4 M5 nuts

Cable ties for increased tension

I've included STEP file as well in case you want to mod it yourself.
