This was created to fit on the Bambu Labs spools that came with my P1P and AMS. I normally by Inland filament from Microcenter. I wanted to try and use their spooless filament as it is $2 cheaper per roll of PLA+.
The fit of these rolls were not great on the Bambu Labs spools. The center was loose and wouldn't rotate well with the AMS and the spools seemed wider than the filament roll (which seemed to cause the filament to not unroll very cleanly).
So I created this model to fix these issues.
- The fit is designed to fit the roll and has a notch for the Bambu Labs spool to help it roll the spool and filament as one. The AMS system needs this to keep it clean.
- Fills the gap between the cardboard center of the roll of filament and the center of the spool
- Fills the gap on the sides of the filament and the spool so the filament doesn't have room to expand and loosen up after cutting it loose.
Print with no supports.
Print 2 of these, one for each side. Please test as you print, these things can change and are different with other brands of filament.
