My family consists of multiple eyeglasses users, and as such, own quite a few cases to hold them.
After deciding to utilize 3D printing to organize all my drawers, cupboards and the like, I found a need for a smart way to store all of these cases, and this is what I came up with.
I searched through the house to locate the largest glasses case we collectively owned (actually pretty huge, at 70mm x 50mm x 160 mm) and started designing this rack shelf unit to comfortably fit cases up to that size.
The honeycomb pattern was then added to the walls to save on material.
After printing the rack, I found that it was a bit difficult to grab a hold of the larger cases, so I revised the design a bit, and added an indent on the front part of the shelves. This should make things easier. See photos for both the old and the revised design.
I'm still pretty new to 3D modeling, and this is my first ever project in Fusion 360. If you have any suggestions for improving the design, please leave a comment.
