this one works fine but the update is a notable upgrade
Inspired by a duct for a Sidewinder i found elsewhere (thing 4584489) but made from scratch for the Sovol SVO1Pro. uses the stock fan mounting location
The middle duct does all the heavy lifting much like the stock duct while the side ducts provide some slight multi-directional cooling
Current version is a little bulky and makes seeing the nozzle during printing a little harder, but removing the duct to get to the nozzle is very simple.
I've had no issues with using PLA+ so far, but if you run a lot of higher temp materials, or don't use the silicon heatblock cover, you may want a higher temp material
Hardware Required:
5015 Radial Fan
1 x M3 x 25
1 x M3 x 12
2 x M3 x 6
2x M3 nuts
all socket-cap screws
Print Settings:
no support (there is an 18mm bridge if your printer struggles with bridging you may want supports)
flattest side down
has printed fine in .15 and .2 layer height. smoother is better for airflow
high infill recommended, at least on the mount plate
