You can train your cat starting from the center compartment (the easiest one), and move on to the next level, as soon as he gets bored or find it too easy ;-)
You'll need to enable print support for the yellow pieces only. The assembly should be straightforward, you can refer to the included pictures. Pieces from same color (green ones, and purple ones) should be glued together.
