I liked the original idea and make of this adapter - but did not want to have my phone sit on top of the adapter itself.
I have a quad lock mounted beside the Tomtom rider connector; therefore I just wanted the USB connection to be available and use the empty space for a logo.
Wasn't able to find the 2mm brass rod needed, so I also modified the holes to perfectly fit with the brass nails shown below.
Then I created a new cable exit which points downwards instead to the right.
I increased thickness to make more room for cabling / resistors. (However, I finished it without the resistors on the data lines. My default resistor pack did not offer values that came anywhere close to the ratio that was required for the voltage divider.)
A test with a laboratory power supply showed my phone charging with 1,15 A also without the resistors.
