Since my baseball cap collection was getting bigger and unattractively stacked on the shelf, I was looking for a holder for the caps.
Since I didn't like the holders I could find - only a hook on which the cap then starts sagging or the spread of the holder was too wide - I designed my own, which has a pocket for tesa Powerstrips® Small / Large on the back. In addition, the holder should fit on the rather small print bed of my Voron v0.1. In addition, there is a slope on the bottom that both hides the end of the Powerstrip and at the same time provides space for needle-nose pliers to grab and remove the strip. Additionally, there are 2 small crosses cut out for positioning and aligning the holder before pressing the Powerstrips in place - mark 2 small crosses with a pencil where you want the holder to go and aim through the cutouts.
The holder can be printed without support, as it is already integrated into the model and can be easily removed after printing. For me, it always stuck to the print bed and thus removed itself ;)
I printed my holders from extrudr PLA NX2 white with 20% infill at 3-4 walls, top and bottom layers each.
The 4 STLs differ as follows:
- Pocket on the back for small powerstrips (34 mm x 14 mm) with "BASE CAP HOLDER" lettering.
- Pocket on the back for small powerstrips (34 mm x 14 mm) without any lettering
- Pocket on the back for large powerstrips (50 mm x 20 mm) with "BASE CAP HOLDER" lettering
- Pocket on the back for large powerstrips (50 mm x 20 mm) without any lettering
