**4/22/2023 - Update my mirror mount that I printed using PLA+ filament warped when in the sun. The temperatures outside were around 80 degrees Fahrenheit. So not too hot. I want to put out there that this mount may be usable with another filament but for my case it was an unsuccessful. I plan to keep looking for other filaments suitable for the job. Let me know if you guys have any luck.
The mount will work for any R7, but I can't promise it will work for your mirror so please check dimensions before printing. 4 M3x30 screws are needed. When printing it is very important you print it as shown in the image above. Use tree supports and block the support on the hole for the radar to clip into. Originally, I wanted to print this in a more convenient orientation that didn't require supports however the ledge holding the radar was weaker in that orientation. The way the nozzle layers the print is critical for the strength in such a thin piece. There are articles you can read about this in depth if you wish. I stuck rubber around the part that clamps around the mirror to prevent sliding and give grip on the mirror. It is not necessary, but I recommend it. I used infill density of 50% which is probably overkill. I also used PLA+ filament which is stronger PLA. I got it from Overture.
