Large food cans could be easily stowed one on another because they fit easily (different-sized top and bottom rims). But small food cans does not have a such nice property, they tend to collapse when stowed one on another. Not anymore!
This is a simple vertical can holder/dispenser. You put cans at the top and retrieve them from the bottom. The bottom one automatically comes out because of the tilted bottom, but a raised edge secures it from falling.
Sizes
There are multiple can sizes in the market. There is some standardization like in this chart. This dispenser is made for the following sizes:
| Can type | Middle diameter | Rim diameter | Height | Can example (in CZE) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 202 | 52 mm | 55 mm | 38 mm | Tomato pasta (protlak) |
| 211 | 65 mm | 67 mm | 35 mm | Tuna |
More sizes could be added. Or you could modify the OnShape project.
There are STL files for both Prusa MK3S+ (210 m height) and for Prusa MINI+ (180 mm height).
Print details
Could be printed without support. Some finishing may be needed above the “gate” part, as it is a large overhang, but support shouldn't be needed (I printed without them and it worked great).
My print setup:
- Material: PLA
- Nozzle: 0.4mm
- Preset: 0.30mm Draft (could use Adaptive layer height)
- Support: no
- Infill: 20% (applied only on the sloped part at the bottom)
