Hey, this is my take on a Rolodex for Tea.
The twist on this one? It's based on the Prusament spooles!

Credit where credit is demmed: the inspiration for the base designe is from this Printables modell Prusament Rolodex business card holder von Mathieu | Kostenloses STL-Modell herunterladen | Printables.com

The Included .stl files will result in a Rolodex that can hold up to 30 Teabags. However it dosent have to be 30, you can just leave some out as I have done.

If you wish more than 30, you can reach out to me and I'll update the included files.

The Clips for the teabags may vary in succes for holding teabags as you could only test the clips with the teabags I had on hand. The version I included was the one I found inserting the the easyest while still holding on to them.
Feel free how ever to create new remixes with other clip designes. Im courios on other aproatches.

Teabags

Regarding compatible teabags, they should be less than 60mm in width, as this is roughly the inner widht of the spool. At least of the spool I had on hand. An easy fix would be to scale the clips in the slicer.

Printing

I used PLA, keep in mind that different fillaments might vary the springiness of the clips. (even different PLA's)

Assembling

  1. Use up a Spool of Prusament.
  2. Take it apart
  3. The Tea Rolodex Ring's have noses, to prevent them from turning on the spool it self. The Goal with the rings is they fit easyly over the cardboard tube while not beeing to loosely. A little tweaking of the slicer scaling parameters might be helpful for achiving a good fit. To fit the rings on to the cardbord tube you need to create notches on both ends of the tube in the size of the noses in the rings ~3mm. It maxes sense to have those notches alligned on both sides.
  4. Assemble the first half: 1 spool half, 1 ring and the cardboard tube.
  5. Now it gets tricky. I found it the easyest way to assemble the clibs by adding them on by one while holding the 2nd ring on the previously insertet clips with a bit of preasure.
I have made it, so I'm sure you will get it at some point, too. ;D
  6. The last step would be to press the second half of the spool back on the cardboard tube, caution thoe, take it easy on this part or you might have to redo step 5. But again, I have made it here, then you will too.
  7. The only thing still needed is a spool holder, feel free to browse printables for a nice spoolholder matching your needs. Hang it under a cabinet, on the wall or just leave it on your counter. The possibilitys are endless!
